Introduction to Yoga Breathing (Pranayama)

In a series of three 90 minute session the subtle yet powerful practice of Pranayama (a key component of original Hatha Yoga) will be explained – both in terms of its historical context and its relation to asana and meditation – and then taught as part of a well-rounded yoga practice.

Each class will include a balanced blend of asana, pranayama and meditation. The pranayama techniques in each class will lead to a clearer experiential understanding of how a well-balanced, daily practice of all 3 activities can lead to greater levels of physical, mental and emotional clarity, and a more contented, peaceful state of mind. Students will leave the class feeling centered, balanced and energized.

Yoga student interested in developing good understanding and progressive practice of well-rounded yoga. Welcome both beginner and experienced student.
